South Osborne Arts Group

The skies grow darker, ever earlier. Which can only mean one thing.

It's that time of year once again.

The South Osborne Arts Group is hosting its semi-annual art crawl on November 17th and 18th, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 PM.

You will have the opportunity to walk the neighbourhood from studio to studio, seeing the artists' work in their own studios and homes. Everyone is free to ask questions about method or purpose or whatever you like, all within a relaxed and comfortable home atmosphere. If something happens to catch your eye, all art displayed (unless otherwise indicated) is available to purchase.

Have a look at the brochure below (same artists and addresses as the May crawl) to see a sneak peak of the work that will be on display along with a description from all of the artists. For more information from individual artists, feel free to contact that artist via the email accompanying their photo. I will have loads of art, photography, and travel books on display. 2019 Calendars as well.

If you haven't been on the walk for a while, you will notice some new names in the brochure below. Please note that Marlene Roy, #9 on the list, had to cancel her participation at the last minute.

More information following the brochure.

Plan for an afternoon in the South Osborne neighbourhood. There are many great restaurants in this neighbourhood, so after a day of walking, or maybe to power up before hand, or maybe even a stopover in between studios, there are a great many excellent options. Recently tried the new pizzeria called Vera Pizzeria. Very nice pizza, but don't just take my word for it, if it's down here, it must be good. As well, we have a brand new Hermanos on the corner of Beresford and Osborne. And, after a few years of Café D'Amour, those folks have gone on to other things, but that has been replaced by Park Line Coffee. BMC Market serves up some of the best authentic tacos in the city, and Chaeban has some of the most interesting ice cream in the city.
