South Osborne Arts Group
I guess that means a white Christmas!
On the bright side, all this snow means that the South Osborne Arts Group's art crawl can't be too far away!
We enjoyed the new time so much that we're doing it again. We're starting at 10 am and going to 5 pm both days - Saturday November 30th and Sunday December 1st. You'll have time to see a lot of art and artists, and maybe have lunch or dinner (or both!) in one of the many great restaurants in the neighbourhood.
What's an art crawl, you ask? Well, in this case, we are a number of artists who all live close together who are opening up their homes and studio spaces for the public to come have a look around. Curious what your neighbour is up to? Come have a look. Always wanted to have a look at art but didn't know where to start? The art crawl is definitely a place to start. Interested in buying something local? We can set you up with something that fits that description. You can walk from house to house to see how and where the artist creates their work. Gather some friends and make a day of it, and maybe discover your new favourite artist.
More information will be available shortly, but in the meantime have a look at the brochure from last May. There will be some new people on the tour this year, and as always, some virtually guaranteed, beautiful sunny weather.
Saturday and Sunday
November 30th and December 1
10am to 5pm.
The best art crawl in the city.
See the map below for locations. The brochure from the May 2018 tour follows, and you can look at that for more info about some of the artists. Please note that not all artists from May 2018 are participating. Only those listed with the map immediately below (including two new artists!) are taking part this year.

Plan for an afternoon in the South Osborne neighbourhood. There are many great restaurants in this neighbourhood, so after a day of walking, or maybe to power up before hand, or maybe even a stopover in between studios, there are a great many excellent options. Recently tried the new pizzeria called Vera Pizzeria. Very nice pizza, but don't just take my word for it, if it's down here, it must be good. There's a Leopold's Tavern in the heart of South Osborne. And, after a few years of Café D'Amour, those folks have gone on to other things, but that has been replaced by Park Line Coffee. BMC Market serves up some of the best authentic tacos in the city, and Chaeban has some of the most interesting ice cream around. And if you're a night owl, the Park Theatre very likely has some great event on either of those nights.
